PRODUCT DATA of AM 350 |
Material | AM 350 |
Product Datasheet | Pyromet 350 |
General Information | Alloy 350 is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel which can be hardnened by martensitic transformation and/or precipitation hardening. The alloy can be hardened by subzero cooling and tempering (Condition SCT). Depending upon the heat treatment, alloy 350 may have an austenitic structure for best formability,or a martensitic structure with strengths comparable to those of martensitic steels. The alloy normally contains about 5 to 10% delta ferrite. |

Welding | This alloy can be successfully welded using all common methods with the notable exception of Oxyacetylene. While preheating the weld piece is not required, it is recommended that the material be annealed after welding to retain maximum properties. For best strength at elevated temperature a filler metal should be chosen that is of similar chemistry. |
