The SPACEMATDB database tree contains at this moment 418 materials.
SPACEMATDB also includes an outgassing database, which is a combination of the ESA and NASA outgassing database (only data after 1995) and the ESA Flammability/Offgassing database.
The flammability/offgassing database contains 833 entries.
The outgassing database contains almost 23000 entries (data up to 2016).
These databases can be accessed via the search.
Based on their chemical nature and function, the materials have been divided into twenty classes.
SPACEMATDB contains physical, mechanical, thermal, environmental and properties relevant to space use for the following classes of materials.
The text in the general section is from ECSS-Q-70-71A: Space product assurance: Data for selection of space materials and processes The stress corrosion data is from ECSS-Q-ST-70-36C: Space product assurance: Material selection for controlling stress-corrosion cracking The bimetallic corrosion data is from ECSS-Q-ST-70C: Space product assurance: Materials, mechanical parts and processes
