Materials covered in SPACEMATDB

The SPACEMATDB database tree contains at this moment 418 materials.
SPACEMATDB also includes an outgassing database, which is a combination of the ESA and NASA outgassing database (only data after 1995) and the ESA Flammability/Offgassing database.
The flammability/offgassing database contains 833 entries.
The outgassing database contains 17000 entries (data after 1995).
These databases can be accessed via the search.

Based on their chemical nature and function, the materials have been divided into twenty classes.
SPACEMATDB contains physical, mechanical, thermal, environmental and properties relevant to space use for the following classes of materials.
  • Aluminium and its alloys (70 alloys)
  • Copper and its alloys (35 alloys)
